Buenos Aires to Mendoza
Mendoza is 1,050 km (about 650 miles) from Buenos Aires by road. Most travellers fly to Mendoza's El Plumerillo airport, 11 km (7 miles) from the city; the overnight bus takes about 13 and a half hours, and the wineries of Luján de Cuyo and Maipú are a short drive from the city.

Aerolíneas Argentinas lists Buenos Aires among the six Argentine cities with direct flights to Mendoza. Its Mendoza page does not say which Buenos Aires airport each flight uses; the booking search shows it.
JetSMART has a route page for flights from Buenos Aires Ezeiza to Mendoza. Neither airline's route page states a flight time or a fare; both show in the booking search.
Flights land at El Plumerillo, officially Aeropuerto Internacional Gobernador Francisco Gabrielli, on Ruta Nacional 40, Acceso Norte, km 15, in the Las Heras department. The national government puts it 11 km (7 miles) from the city of Mendoza.

Andesmar runs long-distance buses from Buenos Aires to Mendoza. Its booking search for Wednesday, October 14, 2026 showed three departures, the first at 3:00 PM and the last at 8:30 PM, a journey of 13 hours 30 minutes, and semi cama seats from ARS 145,000. Fares and times change by date.
Andesmar sells several seat classes on the route: semi cama, semicama preferencial and semicama promocional, and cama premium, cama preferencial and cama individual premium. It describes its semi cama seats as reclining up to 140 degrees and its ejecutivo seats up to 160 degrees.

By car
The national government gives the road distance from the City of Buenos Aires to the city of Mendoza as 1,050 km (about 650 miles). Ruta Nacional 7 is one of the national roads that reach the province.
From the airport and the city to the wineries
Luján de Cuyo begins at the southern edge of the city. Norton, in Perdriel, gives its distance from the city as 20 minutes.
Maipú lies southeast of the city. Maipu Bikes, a bike rental shop in Coquimbito, says a taxi, Uber or Cabify from central Mendoza takes 15 to 20 minutes, and city buses 816, 817 and 920 take about 25 to 30 minutes.
The Uco Valley is a longer trip south: Tupungato is about 71 km from the city, Tunuyán 83 km and San Carlos about 103 km.
